Leadership and Accomplishments
Take a look at some of the accomplishments and leaderships roles I've maintained, as well as my community and organizational involvement, throughout my career.
Fraternal Order of Police
Local Lodge President
Local Lodge Vice President
WV State Trustee
Trustee (multiple terms)
Building Committee Chair
Building Committee Achievements
In December 2015, after 25 years of saving and multiple attempts to purchase a suitable lodge hall, I volunteered to chair the Building Committee. By April 2016, I negotiated a deal for a building and large parcel of property within the city, closing the purchase at approximately 25% of the property's value.
2018 WV State FOP Conference
In 2016, our lodge was granted the request to host the 2018 WV State FOP Conference. When faced with a lack of participation from members, I single-handedly negotiated the venue deal, made all arrangements, solicited funds and donations, obtained vendors, secured entertainment and a keynote speaker, and arranged for Hershell “Woody” Williams to lead the opening Pledge of Allegiance. I also designed and commissioned a Conference coin. The conference concluded with our lodge profiting over $17,000 after expenses.
National Fraternal Order of Police (NFOP)
National Officer Wellness and Resiliency Committee Representative
Little League Baseball
President
Umpire in Chief
Revitalization of the League
In 2000, after being informed of the league's $5,500 debt and suspension from city-wide games, I took on the presidency.
Through a campaign of new leadership and improved oversight, I restored the league's reputation. Initiatives included player recruitment through school outreach, securing approval for inter-league games, and expanding team divisions.
By the end of the first season, we cleared all debts, provided trophies, hosted a banquet, and ended with a $2,500 surplus. In the second year, I spearheaded field improvements and concluded the season with all bills paid and a healthy surplus.
Blue Knights Motorcycle Club
Charter Member (one of eight)

Growth and Charity Work
As a founding member of the Blue Knights WV III chapter, I contributed to growing our membership to over 70. Our chapter, the largest in West Virginia with its own clubhouse, has raised over $100,000 for various charities, including our Annual Ride with COPS benefit ride. This event, which began as a motorcycle Poker Run in 2001 with 33 participants, now attracts between 275-350 motorcycles annually. In 2023, I helped organize, plan, and lead the 1st Annual Woody Williams ride, raising funds for the Goldstar Families Monument in honor of Woody Williams.
